Tyranena To Release New Beers

Tuesday, May 4th, 2010

So everyone who knows the Beerwolf knows I like me some Tyranena. My number-one rated beer of all time was their draft only release of Chocolate Imperial Porter. Well, Rob Larson posted news recently that they will be releasing 3 new Brewers Gone Wild beers. Doubly Down ‘n Even Dirtier , a Double Stout brewed with Cocoa nibs and aged in bourbon barrels with cocoa nibs and vanilla beans, Shaggin’ in the Wood, a blend of 70% Scotch Ale aged in Bourbon barrels and 30% Scotch Ale, and, La Femme Amère, a Wisconsin Belgique-Style India Pale Ale. All three beers sound spectacular. I’m especially excited about the double stout. That one’s right in my wheel house. It looks like we will have to wait until Thanksgiving to give a try though, so now I’m going to wish for a quick summer.

I must also thank beernews for the label images.

Bud Light Golden Wheat

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

As you may have seen in commercials, AnheBud-Light-Golden-Wheat-6_packuser-Busch has released a new beer; Bud Light Golden Wheat. If you haven’t seen commercials you probably don’t watch TV because A-B has a $30,000,000 budget for this beer. Yeah, that’s a lot of zeros.

I haven’t had the pleasure of trying this beer yet but I can already imagine it. “Brewed with coriander and orange peel.” Yep, a basic spiced lager that will try appealing to women and “non-beer drinkers”. If you’re reading this and have bought a 6 or worse… 12 pack of it and can let one go, I’d love to rate it.

In the mean time you can check out the reviews from other people here:

It’s got a “C” right now which doesn’t seem too far off from what my initial perception of it is. Once I get my hands on a bottle I’ll slap a review of it up on the interwebs for you all.
